Psalm 102 Verse 13: Thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to Favor Zion, the set time, has come.

The Season to Fire up Favor Zion (a very short-lived retirement!)

So we all know that full retirement is not really a Biblical concept. The Levites were instructed at age 50 to stop doing the heavy lifting (Numbers 8:23-26), but it was written that they could “minister with their brethren in the tabernacle to attend to their needs.” So on July 4 of this year, I retired from 19 + years as a Planned Giving Director for a very large International Christian Charity, and thought I could coast for a bit – I used the word “sabbatical.” Not sure that it was really a Biblical concept but in my human reasoning I felt that I “deserved” it. Here was my thinking I, me, me, mine – after all I earned it since I had been working non-stop for over 50 years. While I thought I would just continue recording Messianic Minutes with my partner of 30 years Jeffrey D. Miller and that I would continue as an Elder at Rosh Pina Congregation in Baltimore, I would limit my speaking in churches and on radio and TV. I would pull back from the fight, and I would kinda go gently into that good night of old age.

Those were my (non-biblical) thoughts, but bless Adonai for He says: For My thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways My ways, but My thoughts and Ways are higher than you and your thinking, human reasoning, and understanding (Is 55:8-9). I had forgotten the example of Caleb (and Moses and Abraham, and so many others).

Within a few months I have been called to re-engage in the fight. Adonai has equipped me and the entire Favor Zion Team, with the Biblical understanding of Covenant, Teamwork, and with the zeal to continue in the work of ministry. This includes reaching out to the Churches, and to the public in general to tell the Jewishness of Jesus, the Blessings of God’s promises to Israel and to preach Good News to those who are in bondage.

You are part of our Team! I am asking you for your help – to join our team, to:

1. Pray: Now is the time to Favor Zion. These are dangerous times and we need the Anointing and Protection of Adonai. Your prayers are powerful and so appreciated.

2. Open doors where Favor Zion can speak and teach ( preach and conduct Seminars). You know Pastors and Station Managers and Colleges that we don’t! We really need you!

3. Give Financially. Starting back up to full speed with a team and ministry requires substantial costs. I am so grateful to those who have been supporting Favor Zion for years without interruption as you have enabled the Word to go out and the ministry to continue. Now we are in a new Season of all out undivided focus for Israel, God’s Covenant Faithfulness. The Church and The Jewish people in these Last Days. We need to get the Biblical Truth out to Christians and not-yet Believers.

These are The Days of Elijah. We are praying that all of us together will see Adonai’s Kingdom Expand and a World- wide Awakening and Revival. These are challenging and yet exciting times, times that prophets of old longed to see!
