The Truth

Answers to your questions about the Israel vs Hamas War

When did Israel first become a nation?
About 2000 BC Abraham first came into what was then Canaan. Joshua established the Jewish people in The Land in around 1525 BC, and the first national government with Jerusalem as its capital was established under King David in around 1090 BC. The modern State of Israel was established by the United Nations ( and subsequent war for Independence ) in 1948.

Was there ever a country called Palestine?
No! Palestine was a term used by the Romans in the second century to describe the area which is now Israel.

What countries do the Moslem “Palestinians” come from?
The Jerusalem census of 1933 lists 34 countries and territories as the birthplace of the Arab people living there. These places include: Albania, Algeria, Australia, Central AMerica, Central Asiatic Territories, Cyprus, Egypt , Far Eastern Asia, Greece, Iraq, Morocco,Palestine, Persia. Transjordan, Tripoli, United Kingdom, USA, USSR, Yemen. Other Arabian and African Territories.

Why did Jewish people leave The Land?
There has always been A remnant of Jewish people in The Land. Other nations conquered Israel and dispersed the local Jewish populations, with the last conquest being in the second century by The Romans.

Did Israel steal land from Arab people?
When the 1948 war for Independence broke out Israel urged the Arab people to stay- after all they had been neighbors for many years. The 7 Arab nations that came against Israel urged all Arabs to leave – so that the total destruction of Israel could take place. Those leaving were promised all of the land which the Jewish people had purchased. When the war ended many of these people who left their land ended up in refugee camps: since no Arab states welcomed these refugees, they, their children, and grandchildren are still in Gaza.

Jewish people were expelled from Tunisia, Iraq, Iran and other non Arab countries and their lands and possessions confiscated. Israel welcomed all of those displaced people.

Did Israel start the 6 Day War?
Before June 5, 1967 there was no “ West Bank” or self governing Gaza. Jordan controlled the Land of the West Bank and Egypt ruled Gaza. Egypt expelled UN observers from its border with Israel and blacked Israeli shipment on the Suez Canal. Israel saw that war was being planned by Egypt and ordered a pre-emptive strike. As a result Israel won the Sinai Peninsula and Gaza and the land formerly governed by Jordan.

Is Israel an Apartheid State?
No. Israel has many Arab citizens. Arab CItizens of Israel have the same legal rights as Jewish Israelis.

Does Israel want to eliminate “ Palestine?’ Does Hamas want to eliminate Israel?
Israel wants to eliminate Hamas, which is a terrorist organization. Israel is looking for a government elected by the people of Gaza with which it can negotiate, and live with peaceably. Hamas in its charter is unequivocal in its desire to totally eliminate Israel.

Do other Arab countries care about the people of Gaza?
Other Arab nations have refused to allow Gazans to settle in their countries. The biggest advocates for the Gaza war are Iran, Russia and Turkey- all non Arab countries. ( The Iranians are Persians, the people of Turkey are Turks).

How did Hamas come into power in Gaza?
Hamas had a strong social welfare system in place and won a parliamentary election in 2006. They then violently seized control of the Gaza strip from the Internationally recognized Palestinian Authority, murdering or expelling all opposition. Their true nature as a terrorist organization quickly became apparent. There have been no new elections in Gaza in over
17 years.

You are part of our Team! I am asking you for your help – to join our team, to:

1. Pray: Now is the time to Favor Zion. These are dangerous times and we need the Anointing and Protection of Adonai. Your prayers are powerful and so appreciated.

2. Open doors where Favor Zion can speak and teach ( preach and conduct Seminars). You know Pastors and Station Managers and Colleges that we don’t! We really need you!

3. Give Financially. Starting back up to full speed with a team and ministry requires substantial costs. I am so grateful to those who have been supporting Favor Zion for years without interruption as you have enabled the Word to go out and the ministry to continue. Now we are in a new Season of all out undivided focus for Israel, God’s Covenant Faithfulness. The Church and The Jewish people in these Last Days. We need to get the Biblical Truth out to Christians and not-yet Believers.

These are The Days of Elijah. We are praying that all of us together will see Adonai’s Kingdom Expand and a World- wide Awakening and Revival. These are challenging and yet exciting times, times that prophets of old longed to see!
